The Rescue Diver course takes your skills and knowledge beyond basic recreational diving, as you’ll learn to prioritize the safety and well-being of others in the water. While the course covers serious topics, it’s designed to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience that will greatly boost your confidence as a diver.
You’ll be trained to handle both minor and major dive emergencies using a wide range of techniques. Through theoretical lessons and hands-on rescue exercises, you’ll develop the ability to identify potential problems and respond effectively. During real-life rescue scenarios, you’ll apply the knowledge and skills you’ve learned.
Key topics covered include:
-
Self-rescue techniques
-
Recognizing and managing diver stress
-
Emergency management and equipment use
-
Rescuing panicked divers
-
Rescuing unresponsive divers
The Rescue Diver course is one of the most interactive, challenging, and fun experiences we offer. It’s open to PADI (Junior) Adventure Divers who are at least 12 years old and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. Additionally, you must have completed CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months, which can also be incorporated into the course.
